Get Involved
WildCookham was formed to turn concern for nature into practical local action. Whatever your skills, experience, availability or confidence level, there are ways to make a difference.
How you can help
- Hands-on help: join practical outdoor tasks that support habitat restoration, surveying and seasonal project work.
- Data gathering: help build a stronger picture of local habitats and species through recording, surveying and ecological observation.
- Organising events: support walks, talks and community activities that help people of all ages learn more about wildlife.
- Spread the word: help tell WildCookham's story through newsletters, social media, the website and wider local communication.
- Help our tech: bring technical or digital skills that strengthen the website and the tools behind the scenes.
Ways to support WildCookham
If you would like to become more involved, the best starting point is to get in touch and tell us how you would like to help. We welcome people who want to volunteer regularly, support a specific project, share specialist expertise, contribute through our JustGiving page or explore partnership opportunities.
- Volunteer with us: email us to hear about practical opportunities and seasonal project work.
- Partner with us: get in touch if you represent a school, business, landowner or community group and would like to work together.
- Support our work: if you have attended an event, want to back a local project or would simply like to make a contribution, you can support WildCookham through JustGiving. As a registered charity, WildCookham can also benefit from Gift Aid where eligible.
